TXDTR #8 New Thread for February
from post 188....
Rob, regarding Crossbar Ranch.....it was very nice. It is set up quite differently from Lake Murray off-road riding area.
Basically it has 2 long loops that each run about 20 miles or so. The south loop is very boring.....like riding in a cow pasture with a few rocks thrown in to make the ride rough. Unless you want to ride it just to see what it's like, stay away.
The north loop is much more fun, scenic and challenging. It has it all....creek crossings, rocky trails, dirt trails, steep climbs, woods, mud. You could ride it 2 or 3 times each visit and never get bored with it. Make sure you start off with a full tank of fuel and bring some water and snacks. 4 wheel drive on the ATV is a big plus. It reminds me alot of riding in Arkansas in the Ouachita National Forest.........but not quite as scenic.
As far as RVing.....make sure you fill up your Toyhauler fresh water tanks as there is no access (to my knowledge) of water there. They do have plenty of electrical hookups though......ironically.
For somebody like me who has been spoiled by riding in Arkansas......I give Crossbar Ranch a thumbs up. You will not be dissappointed.

Just got an E-Mail that Bully Dog has 'broken the code' on the blocked ECM for all 09's, including the ones built after March 09.
Smarty posted on their web site the same a couple of weeks ago!
Anyone know if this means the 2010's also.... or are they a whole different ECM encryption?

Yep - Marco got there first... basically just a recovery program for the bootloader, AFAIK.
Should cover all DC CTD ECMs to date.
The Aussie boyz are about to release the first screen shots of their Cummins Tuner (EFI Live CTD), so progress continues on what I predict will be a paradigm shift in what the CRs will accomplish, and how we get there.
Interestingly, the teaser shot will be for the venerable 5.9L, even though last year they stated the 6.7L version would be the first BETA release next year for public consumption.
A few race teams are purportedly incorporating this laptop tuning into their programs (pardon the pun) this season, so maybe we'll get our hands on 5.9L code first.
p.s. apparently, Bosch code is akin to Apple - while Cummins code is like MS
... reverse engineering has been quite the challenge.
