NTDTR May GTG
NTDTR #8 May/June GTG
By popular demand, we will be going back to The Ranch after the races in Denton on the 31st.
If you've been there, you know what you need to bring.
I don't plan on cooking, but if someone else wants too, feel free to do so.

I think my ac is on its way out! Sometimes it won't kick in and now I have a wierd squel when the ac is on and the annoying 2nd gen chirp when turning the truck off. Hopefully its just a belt or something
I think the next of my A/C adventures will involve pulling the HVAC housing to check the blend door. The air I get is pretty cool, but not as cold as I've heard other people report. And as I start turning the temp dial toward hot, it gets hot quick. I'm thinking that my blend door isn't aligned properly and even on full cold, I'm still getting some air passed over the heater coil.
I've considered shutting off the flow of coolant through the heater coil to see if it helps matters any, but I've heard conflicting reports on whether this is doable/advisable or not.

Mine has been leaking a little freon. I added a can this week for the 3rd year in a row. My little probe thermometer show almost a 20* drop after adding. Has anyone tried the freon with sealer or oil?
Its a temporary fix....my suggestion is to find the issue and fix it correctly by replacing the o-ring, line, or component that is causing the issue.
Look for oil residue on any lines (Especially at junctions). Look around your air box…at the high pressure line….they can rub and leak there. Check your condenser on the fnt of the truck for punctures. If you find nothing…might be the evaporator core in the dash…..(which that is where I think mine is leaking). Other than getting some one to pull the system down to 0 PSI and capture the R-134a. Then pulling a vacuum after the work is done, AC work is pretty simple (Pending you don’t have to mess with the compressor or pull the dash.
