Goerend tranny installer?

Not sure if this is a good place to ask this but I figured ya'll would know who is certified to install Goerend trannies in/ around DFW? Goerend told me a couple places that they have had install them before but the guy I talked to @ Goerend said he would have to check & see if the ones he told me still do it. TIA

Sorry I can't recommend a Goerend's installer. I just don't know any who specialize in installing them in the metroplex. Many guys around here usually go to James Northum, who builds and installs DTT transmissions. http://www.jamestranstech.com/

You might try calling him and see if he would consider doing a (Goerends) install for you. Or maybe see if a DTT build would work for you.

James is a great guy. Down to earth. Not cheap. But honest as they come from what I know about him........and does excellent work. Hope that helps.

I have talked w/ James several times & been to his shop(it's only 10 min. from my house) but DTT's price will be a good amount more than the Goerend set-up & the Goerend warranty will fit my needs alot better because I don't put a ton of miles a year on my truck. I have asked him about installing a Goerend for me & he's supposed to be getting back w/ me about it. If he won't, does anyone know of anyone else? Thank you.

I'm open for suggestions! Does nobody in this chapter have a Goerend tranny? I'd do the install myself but I don't have access to a lift & a tranny jack. If it was 2WD I'd do it in my driveway, but it's 4WD so no go on that idea!

mine was done in a driveway.... 4 jack stands, a jack, and tranny jack will do the job! Most tranny Companies require authorized installer for the warranty to be affective.... So why goerend?

For of all price. 2nd would be their warranty. 3rd I guess 'cause I;ve never heard anyone say one bad word about their products. I ALMOST went w/ the HTS but the place(Darkside Dieselworx) is just a little too far if I needed warranty work done on it. I'm assuming since you have the HTS w/a BD flexplate, Bobby is who you used? How has it been holding up for you?

For everything, including flexplate but not shafts, $4600 shipping both ways(core) & installed. If I remember correctly, Bobby wanted $5900 but that included billet input & mag pan. JTT wanted $5500 to rebuild mine but no shafts & no flexplate.

Where's relentless? I think Bobby's price was about $4900 w/out the bil. input & Mag. pan. Did you get any kind of a discount for putting his sticker on your truck? Where abouts are you from?
