Saturday morning about 0645. We were in South Padre. My neighbor called me later that afternoon and said my truck had acquired several dents (as in the whole hood is dimpled like a golf ball). Have an a claim filed and am waiting for the adjustor to call (same with the adjustor for the roof, I am concerned it hit hard enough to damage the shingles enough to warrant replacing. Decking appears to be fine though). Hit the house hard enough to set off the glass break detector on my alarm system.

No Adrenaline for me. Unless it involves my job! My truck might get a 230+hp Smarty program when that comes out though!! But this trans will be done by then anyway.

Rob sorry to hear about your truck!! That sux! A friend of mine from work (texasram2500 on DTR) has a 06 megacab that got hit pretty hard. He lives in the western side of McKinney, prob not to far from you. He started a thread here..... https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=192472

As far as I can tell, no hail damage on mine.

Ouch! Serious sized hail, huh? Been throught it twice on house and once on CTD!
I hate it when your away and friends call with bad news. I have told my neighbor (watches house) and girl down the street (taking care of dogs), don't call me if anything happens. Handle it if you can but I can't do anything (except worry and ruin my weekend) from where I am.

Good Luck!

No hail in Carrollton that I could tell. Truck was in the garage (just barely fits) but never heard anything fall that hard outside. Just a lot of wind and rain.

Bad News - Good News!

-Bad - Batteries have been acting up. Sluggish cranking and dying quickly if working on truck (with doors open, for example).
They are Autozones Yellowtop Duralasts... max cranking power, etc.
-Good - Have had them 1 month shy of 3 yrs... which is full replacement value. No pro rating!
Only one tested badly but they, at my insistance (after explaining why), replaced both for Free!

Before you guys jump on me for buying junk, please note I average 7-10 starts a day and only got 2.5 yrs out of my factory batteries.
Most of you got what.... 4-5 yrs?

Nothing wrong with the warrantly on the Duralast Golds. That's what I have in mine. With a 3 yr free and 8 yr pro-rate, I figure I can't go wrong. The last set lasted for a little over 5 years. Only reason I replaced them is that they got a little hot when starting after sitting for 4 weeks in the cold and I didn't want to risk having them die on me. AZ took them in with no questions and gave me pro-rate on the new ones.

Current ones still going strong (after my maintenance a couple weeks back).
