Mine is the HPFP, using the factory filter which only has a couple of K miles on it. The FASS does not even turn on when the key is bumped.

Sorry...forgot!
All else fails, beat on it with your hammer!

Just noticed...you said it did start but no FP! So can't be gelled fuel.
Think the FASS motor froze up? Doesn't seem likely.

Just went out and tried again with better results. This time the FASS came on, but sounded like it was struggling. The heaters cycled and the fuel pressure slowly came up. I let it run for a minute or so and then shut it down. That old engine sure was moaning and groaning ...... almost as much as I was for being out there.

All is well with Ole'd Red. The high idle even kicked in. The next time it get's this cold,I'll have some Diesel Kleen winter mix in there.

Mine chatters like a PowerStroke in the cold!

I have learned that our Whisperwatt 70Kw to 150Kw drag behind Diesel gen's don't like to start in the negative temps without the ether can! It's miserable...

It has been unseasonably warm up here (but awful for me) and I hear y'all have been gettin really chilly too! Keep warm and the pipes thawed.

Side note, LASIK in 7 days !!! and a vacation, I am going to spend a couple days in Denver with Jersey Girl.

Clean 12 valve.... 98? I think you said? Love the wheels!
Enjoyimg the remote start in the clod weather?

With an automatic, I suspect the 0 plate will shows itself when the temps get higher.... unless it's a 4.10 gear ratio.

It's been pretty chilly for sure lately. I think we had like 120 hours of below freezing and a cold temp of about 11 degrees or so here locally. My truck went straight to high idle several times after a start....but I've tried to plug in whenever I could.

It was 60ish today though....and supposed to be 70 tomorrow. Whoo Hoo!

I do enjoy the remote start but for as cold as it's been I've been having to sit in the truck anyway to keep it idling (need to raise idle speed). So far it hasn't smoked much but I think the highest temp I've driven in was about 68. I'm anxious to build up a tranny to see what it will do when I start making real power.

A few of us received e-mails from Tyler regarding this years Alvarado Sled Pull/Dyno event.
It's on March 11 & 12. Anyone interested?
