At least it will wash off. Could have been a lot worse suff used!

What's the objection to wind people? Not like you're wildcaters and rough-necks..... or is it?

Yes luckily no real damage done.

This is my first go around so I can only comment on what I have seen...

The locals think we come to town and steal all the jobs, not true. we are hiring!! yes we hire out of town EXPERIENCED help just to ease the process.

We make more $$ than 97.98998% percent of the locals and they do not like that.

We ( wind ppl, not I ) go to the local pubs and scoop up the local gals for the time being, and the local fellas don't like that.

We are out of town folks and of course that never goes over.

Maybe because I don't pay local taxes.

on the bright side my estimate is we have brought around 5-7 million dollars to this town of 2300 ppl over the last six months. they should be happy, all the local slum lords are making BANK on us. I (my company) pays a little over 500 for the shanty I live in.

That's all I can think of right now

There's the reason... reminds me of why Brit boys tended to treat Yanks like they did in England during WWII.

Ya'll need to do like the military used to do. Pay everyone with $2 bills. When the merchants and others see the saturation, they tend to stop complaining for awhile.

Yup! I remember reading Gen. George Patton did that when a base commander in California, during the troop build up prior to WWII.
It silenced all the local merchants who were complaining about the roudy soldiers on the streets!

Speaking of CA base commanders, my brother was chosen to command China Lake out there - it's a test pilot base, so he's pretty excited (especially since he'll be back in the Super Hornet cockpit).

After his current billet with ONI "in" the Pentagon, I'm sure he'd rather soar with the eagles than rub elbows with the rest of the scrambled eggs crowd.

I'm looking forward to visiting him out there!

That should make it last a while longer. I'm ready for a Spring trip to Redline.

Well, I wasn't after the backstory - but thanks for the anecdote... I'll stay away from that mud hole as well!

Just put new seats in?
