I've always wanted to see a set of stingray style exhaust on a single cab (I am assuming yours is a single cab), how about going with that?

IF going with heavy fuel....keep the exhaust away from the track sensors (in a wind)! 5" straight back should work well.
Gives an added thrust factor!

OK, TV question time.

Trying to pick out a TV for the house. Was back and forth between plasma and LCD, think I settled in on LCD in the 46-50" range. I'm looking at the refresh rates and trying to figure out how much I need vs. how much I want.

How well does the 120Hz refresh handle fast action and scrolling text? Of course the only time they scroll anything on the demo units at Best Buy is when they're trying to show off the AutoMotion sampling on the Samsung units. And one side looks horrible, the other side is clean. Trying to figure out if that's just a Samsung thing or indicative of all of them.

I know I could go for 240Hz, but that's pushing the upper end of the price range usually when looking for one with extra HDMI inputs and other extras.

Just want to have all the angles covered before I drop the cash on one and get it home and find out it's no good.

We were all set for a big plasma - seemed to be the best bang for the buck on paper... but in person the LCD (52") blew it away.
The 240 HZ made a difference too, especially with action scenes.
Also, there was some other tecno-crap it had that was pretty cool, too (can't recall what it was at the moment).

Plasma looks awesome until you put one next to an LCD, and 120 refresh is fine unless you watch it next to the 240.

Only problem is that bad boy LCD is over $3K...

so we're watching last season's "24" DVD on the 'puter.

p.s. I watched some of last year's Star Trek on that LCD - it was flat out the best picture I've ever seen... looked better than real life!

LCD or LED backlit LCD... No Plasma... Once you have the TV home you will never notice the refresh rates! lol

For those that know me, I'm pretty frugal and take my time when I buy anything over $10.

I bought a Sony 46", 120 LCD a few months ago and could not be happier. Hd programs are great and non-HD is much better than the CRT set I had before. bnold is correct about the 120. Actions sport are seamless and very real life. I added a Sony 5-1 (wireless rear speakers) home theater system a few days after the LCD and it sure enhances watching sports and action movies with good sound tracks. Mine has a DVD player, but now the BlueRay is about the same price. Since we watch very few DVD's, that's not an issue with us. Both being Sony, they mesh very well. If I had it to do over again, the only thing I would do different would be to go with a 50 or 51 inch.

Justin I also watched Star Trek on an LCD and yes it was unbelievable how good the picture was. I swear it felt like it was almost in 3D.

OK, that's the feedback I was looking for. The kid at Best Buy the other day was pretty much clueless and just agreed with anything I said. I think at one point he might have even said something about Ford owning Cummin'g's.

I was trying to read reviews, but that's almost a hopeless endeavor since one says it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and the next guy says it's just a piece.

I'd like a 240, but if it's one of those things that won't be noticeable when you get home, then I'd rather save the extra cash for something else.

Now it looks like I need to upgrade the audio system as well since all my gear is from the days before HDMI.

HDMI is very progressive! Go to Fry's where you can look at and compare a lot of sets in one place. When I bought mine, they had the best price for the exact same Sony that several others had. They also had the best price on the home theater system.

Side note: These things are pretty amazing. Besides a great TV, it's also a small computer with USB port, iPod port, PC connectivity and a lot of free gadgets and programming.

Justin, for what its worth Santa Claus brought Me, Jana and the teens a new 26'' Insignia (Best Buy cheapo brand) HDTV with a built in DVD player to put up in the "loft" area of the house (for the XBox 360) and to take in the Toyhauler (movies) on trips. It's LCD and the picture is incredible. It has 3 HDMI ports. I think it could be used as a large computer monitor if I wanted it for that. These TVs have come a long way in the past few years......and the prices are coming down. This one, bought by Santa of course, was only around $300.00 IIRC.

I guess my point is im another vote for LCD. Great picture!
