If you ever get off on the weekend, you need to join us at one of our meets. We already have one cop (TexasCTD), I guess another one would be OK.

This extra addition needed for Ennis has kinda caught me off guard.

We just installed my traction bars last Saturday.

..
Hey Robert did you go with the regular lazar bars or did you go with the lazarII's. Do you have any pictures of the truck from a little further away? looks good by the way.

Thanks Eli. Mine are the Lazar II's. The only difference though between the L and L2s is the size of the heim joints. The other bars.....Monster bars etc. are different sizes though.

I didn't take any pics from a distance yet because my truck is so filthy right now. I was camping all last week....and been working all this week and just haven't had time to clean it up since the traction bar install. I will try to get some more soon. Or better yet....you can see it in person April 5th!!

Nah no more chrome. I've gone to far now to turn back...

Hopefully you will forgive me though if I temporarily put on my "race" wheels and tires which are still polished aluminum/265s...(factory 3rd gens).....

Yep those darn firemen have it made! Everybody loves to see the fire truck coming (as opposed to a squad car in the rear view mirror). Sit around the fire house and watch cable tv, sleep, eat, workout, play on the computer and read DTR stuff.....and make an occasional run and be a hero...

I don't know about Coppell....but our call load never stops. If I clear, I will get sent on one of dozens of various calls holding, just in my division. Just tonight, I was trying to mark out to eat.....and the calls just wouldn't stop. Spring has Sprung!

I wouldn't worry about it.
At Houston the inspection guy never even looked under my truck!
If it looks in good condition, I think they are pretty lax with us "bracket racing types" (their words, not mine).

I don't have a drive shaft loop! Hopefully I should need one.

And you can sign out a "swat" helmut....no?
Mike and I have helmuts if they get serious about that. ( Just bring your own "dew rag".

OK, well I appreciate it. I won't worry about the "straps" for now. Im to broke to buy them right now anyway.

I do have a full face helmet though already......Black of course! It's my ATV riding helmet.

My biggest single concern right now........since the transmission is now built....is my stocker turbo. I really want to get that thing upgraded as soon as possible. I am concerned about EGTs and Drive Pressure. I'd hate to even think what my drive pressures are now....and I have no monitoring gauge for it.

I guess im just gonna run it as best I can....and when the egt needle hits 1500-1600 im off of it....where ever that happens to be. Im sure it will cost me some time....but hopefully I can at least break into the 14s now.

Robert you know your drive pressure is north of 75psi if you mat the skinny pedal for more than a couple of seconds...

Don't 'splode that charger - I need it for our 2nd Gen twin turbo project!

p.s. Just got the bulk stainless hardware into the shop yesterday for the SS Restraining Straps, so here in the next week or so we'll get at least a dozen made up.

N TX Chapter members:

Matt invited us up to OK this Saturday for all you can eat brisket & crawdads (he called on his way to LA to pick up a fresh load) washed down with 3 kegs...

I'm thinking hard on how to justify this with the little woman!

I'm planning on it! Chris Millers Birthday! If anything like the food we had at Charlie's... worth the trip!
Did he mention a time?
