Justin, You shouldn't have any issues with inspection. Diesels are a "safety check" only and are not sniff tested. They just check your lights, blow the horn, and..........like Brian said......want to test drive it for the brake test. $14 and you are out of there.

I don't like them driving mine either........usually some minimum wage punk kid romping on it. I am right there beside them.....and the smarty has already been put back to stock.

OK, then I'll just hit the local place. I figured muffler was on their checklist and I was going to run into trouble convincing one of these guys I don't really need one.

I know Huntsville checks for mufflers, and I have a couple of friends in town who have gotten tickets for not having one...

and I think it'd a one day event rowland.

anyone going to buda on the 12th & 13th?

I need to check. I know they let race rigs and trailer stay over night.

I've checked their website and they do have a free campground with NO hookups. I can't find a map on their site, so I guess we'll find it when we get there. Also, it's listed as a one day event.

Link to event.

Hey Roland, 3/25

We just heard back from Author at the track, he said since the race is only a 1 day deal, we cant camp.

the Race Day should be from 10:00am to approx. 6pm. with no night racing from my understanding

Micah

Surprised since their schedule shows other events at the track on Friday and Sunday. But....so be it.

For anyone racing that day... Track requirements are similar to Houston....
-Helmuts if under 14 sec.
-Long pants, sleeved shirts and shoes (no sandles)
-Drive Shaft loop under 13.99 (unless street tires and over 13 sec.)
-Retaining straps on all Traction Bars
-Roll Bars for anyone under 11.50 sec

RJ

Guess I can't race......Ole' Red don't have a roll cage.

Since it's a one day event, here's the deal. I'll be at The Ranch on Friday night and anyone who wants to come up is welcome. I/we can leave here no later than 8:00 and still have time to catch a quick breakfast. Afterwards, all are welcome back at The Ranch.

Let me know..........

LFD....You firemen have it made! Can't you trade out a shift with another guy? Surely a "B" shift guy can work for ya and you work his, no?

Ok, pardon my ignorance....what are retaining straps as it pertains to our traction bars. Mine are on now, basically set up like yours. Is there something else I need to do to prepare to run down the track.

Don't think I need to worry about roll bars yet (like Charlie's ole red)

My guess is that they are straps to hold your traction bars up in case they break to keep you from becoming a pole vaulter instead of a sprinter. Same with the driveshaft loop.
