there is a good chance i am going to make it now, i have a predator stage three chip for sale it fits a 04.5 - 07 . $150 if anyone is interested. would sure help fund my journey.
ps. Robert, again when does the 04.5 start? does it matter more on the motor plate or the vehicle iden tag on the door?

04.5's had a Cat Converter......04's didn’t.....
04.5's had stock 4" exhaust, 04's didn't.....
04.5's didn’t have the in-tank pump...still on the back of the filter.....05's did have the in-tank pump......(BUT this is not useful to you)
More or less your module is for the "600" engine and newer.........

i tried to load it on a 325hp motor, which i thought was 04.5 , truck made in feb 04, motor in jan 04. and it did not work, truck would barrelly run, so if this was an 04.5 then i guess the chip is "boogered" up.

My suggestion is to find a engine that is known to be over 04

Nope that should be it... a bullet thrower if you wish! Looks like weather should be really nice for the weekend... Will be nice if we dont all have to cram in the shop!! Lots of concrete area for projects!

As far as the accommodations go there is a lot of room inside the apartment attached to the shop for air mattresses etc... (That's what I will be doing) 3 couches as well...

As long as I won't have to deal with 30 degree temperatures (mainly so I don't have to hear Charlie) I'll be good.

Max.....The 04.5 started on any truck with a January 04 build date and started the "600" series engines. Up thru Dec. 03 they are early 04 models.
I think Dan covered it above. The 04.5 included the 4'' exhaust, Cat converter (who keeps those though
), 3rd injection event, electronic wastegated slightly larger turbo, and maybe a few other things...

One of the other things that the 600 series had, which is the reason it can do a 3rd injection event, is a more up to date computer. The computer in the first common rails were the same as the 02's. (not saying that 02 was different, but I'm not sure if they had the same all the way through the life of the ISB 24V)
