you could get some airbags to help stiffen your suspension, i also know that the roads along the southern coast also arent the best too.

What your feeling is usually called "chucking". I towed a heavy Travel Trailer for over 10 yrs. and never had the problem , as soon as I got my 5th wheel I started feeling the bucking. Installed a set of Firestone 5000 airbags and the problem is gone.

Tires at full cold inflation and a wdh will help too. Also how you load it can have an affect as well as how the wheel base works with the road surface.

Tire pressure on trailer 55psi cold, D rated tires. Can only check outside on truck, Firestone dealer installed short stems, have to make another trip and have tires re-stemed.

wdh is weight distributing hitch, not applicable to 5ers.

Is the trailer running level? This is typical of a trailer running nose high. Low pin weight will also cause this. Try adding some weight in the front storage and see if that helps. A 31' should not stress the suspension of a dually 3500which would imply you do not need to stiffen the suspension. Mine is 37' and does not chuck - - but it did - - oh yeh. I added an Air Safe hitch and almost all of the chucking is gone and the overall ride is much better.

If you can install these instead of getting re-stemmed.

"not applicable to 5ers."

my bad. And setup unlevel will and loaded tail heavy is a big culprit as well.

You may want to weigh your truck and then weigh the truck & trailer. You will see how the trailer is distributed on the truck. This may give a better idea on what is going on.
