Trailering my new truck home ??

That's what I was thinking.
Either way, I've never been able to load a large vehicle backwards on a 16-18' util trailer and not have the tail wag the dog.
I bet if you load it backwards with the plow in hte new truck's bed, it will be pretty close to even. But for just 100mi, throw it on there however. It won't really get to wagging unless you go over 45-50mph in my experience.

To drive it home legally would require 2 trips.. One trip to go pay and get title.
Then I would have to register it and go back with my plates to drive it home.
I told the seller I was gonna throw it on a trailer and he said.. ehh, hell with that, I'll save you the trouble and I'll drive it to you! Thanks for all the replies !

Not a good Idea towing a truck with a turbo that the air towing will be forced up the tail pipe and spin the turbo dry.Cover the tail pipe so air can`t spin the turbo.More that a few farm tractors with turbo were lost towing them on a trailer and not covering the exhaust pipes. Big rigs have to be covered also.just my .02 Don T

my .02 would be what everyone else has said. neg. tongue weight is no good. load it forward and take the ramps off. this is coming from experience. i loaded a 96 f-250 gasser on a 16ft trailer backwords with a plow in the bed of the truck on the trailer. had it hooked behing my old 97. even with the plow in the bed it still didnt do any good. only went 6 miles, truck pulled the weight fine but was in my eyes about 5 miles to far. couldnt keep it from swaying even at 25mph. how about renting a car trailer from u-haul if the weights ratings are enought to hold it?
