do you realy need the torque tube on a gooseneck trailer? i know it's to keep the main beams from twisting. does anyone have it on there trailer or any pic's. thanks

it works on real good on long trailers like 28 or better. Yea they really work, its just a pipe down the middle.

its a 4 inch pipr running down the center of a gn flatbed that helps keep the longer trailers from twisting when loaded.

Thanks Rich, My GN is only about 26 in the floor and I don't think it has one.

I've owned trailers without the tube and a couple with it, they do help keep the trailer from twisting back and forth. Had a 36ft. with an 8in. tube and have a new 34ft. with a 6in. tube, don't know if that makes any difference but both trailers pulled great. It cost more money and adds weight to a trailer but I wouldn't have one without it.
