trailer torque tube

trailer torque tube
do you realy need the torque tube on a gooseneck trailer? i know it's to keep the main beams from twisting. does anyone have it on there trailer or any pic's. thanks

I've owned trailers without the tube and a couple with it, they do help keep the trailer from twisting back and forth. Had a 36ft. with an 8in. tube and have a new 34ft. with a 6in. tube, don't know if that makes any difference but both trailers pulled great. It cost more money and adds weight to a trailer but I wouldn't have one without it.
