Mike I have not had any experience with that particular tire but I swear by toyo tires I run the toyo M55 on every thing I own and they wear like iron and hold up really well. While the M55 is no were near as aggressive as the mud terrain it still has really good traction on dry and wet ground. So to peas your mind other than mud terrains don't wear good on highway use and don't get as good as mileage out of them toyo tires in general are a great tire.

My Toyo 295-70-17 E rated MT's have been great so far but only have about 6000 on them right now . If they hold up for 40,000 I will put them on again , the traction off road has been very good , many times better then the factory Goodrich tires .

Thumbs up Toyos

My Toyos are the best overall tires I've ever had on a truck.

I absolutely loved my Toyo MT's that I had on my truck. I had the 315/70/16's and there were great. I wanted to run the same tire when i switched to my 38"s but at the time they were on national back order for almost 3 months and I couldn't wait that long or else I'd be running them again!

How do the toyos compare to the ssrs?

That is the two tires I am considerin for my next set unless nitto makes a 315 terragrappler.

I have had a set of 35x12.50x16.5 ssrs on an 01 superduty and LOVED em but I hear lots of goos things about the toyos.

I run that tire in the 37's on 20's in the mt's and love them. I put a quarter size hole in the sidewall and ruined one last week(ouch) so I had to get a new one ($431 ) but we measured the tread and with almost 50000 miles on them there was still half of the original tread!!! I just won't have this big of a tire on my next truck!!! Tooo darrrrn much!!!!

I sure like the "wears like iron" part

My 315 BFG AT/KO's that I've run for a quarter millioin miles have been great aside from barely making it to 30K miles, and at $1K a set - they sure drain the wallet.

If I could get 50K miles out of the big Toyos, with that weight capacity...

Dodgezilla - I am considering the 295 Toyo MT's for my truck. I do not have nor plan on running any kind of lift. Do you think they would fit on my truck using the factory alloys without having any rubbing issues? There is a place in Oklahoma running a set of these tires for $950 plus shipping. I was considering the BFG MT, but the Toyo's have a much higher load rateing per tire.

I'm running the 295s on the stock wheels. Haven't been offroad much with them yet, but I have compressed the front suspension and looked for interference with the wheel in different positions, haven't been able to make them rub yet.

I specifically bought this size of tire because of the load rating and with the impression from the forums that a 315/70 or a 35x12.5 might rub somewhere and I won't add a lift/leveling kit.

Might look for a local tire shop, I waited on mine for a few months, was quoted ~275 each, when they came in they charged $250 each mounted and balanced.

I have toyo's on my truck on 22inch rims they are 37 1350 and i take my truck to the desert all the time and have never had a problem. I also tow a 34 foot 13000k toyhauler. The road noise from these tires are almost non existant.

I do not have experience with tires the size you are questioning, but I do have experience with TOYO AT's. I have 2 older Fords that are used around the ranch for close to everything we do. I run the AT's on my old Ford Dually and absolutely love their performance and wear. I have gotten about 60K out of a set and will be replacing them soon with the same. They perform so-so in snow and ice as compared to the BFG's. I have a set of the BFG AT's on the SRW Ford, have around 35K on them and they have worn like iron too. They have out performed the TOYO's in snow and ice.

I just got my BFG AT's for my Dodge, mounted them on H2's, and they already have 5K on them and look new. I decided on them now because winter is approaching. I have a second set of H2 wheels that I will be mounting a set of TOYO AT's on to be used as summer tires. Best of both worlds.
