Not liking these in the rain, for a traction and snow tire they sure don't grip very good. It hasn't rained here in awhile so I know some oil has come up onto the road surface but man hit the brakes too much and you slide go up any steep hill and you have to put it in 4wd to get going, small hill breaks the tires loose we to easy. Is it the tires or are these trucks just to heavy and TQ because these tires have lots of tread ?
My pal Jeff is a manager at STS tire. He SWEARS by Toyos, but on cars only. I have a set on my VW golf with 44k and they still look new. When I took my 02 to him for new sneakers he recommended the Dayton Timberlines, which I believe are made by Bridgestone. OK my truck isnt 4x4 but I push it a little on the mountain roads and these tires stick like glue.
I know the toyo open country's and toyo T's are probably the best selling tire (albeit expensive) on the market for these trucks right now. Load range E and tons of traction in all conditions. I know I definately like my trailcutter R/T's though.
