Brake Proportioning Valve Adjustment?

For those that have done this to get more braking in the rear, do you remember what it was that you did and the results? I'm going to mess with mine this weekend and any tips would help.

Thanks,

Adam

I did cut a pat of the rod out and welded a turnbuckle in. (locknut added on right hand thread side) - Results are good IMO, but you'll still need to keep your rear brakes adjusted properly to reap all the benefits.

Thanks, I put discs on the rear....got tired of the drums. Isn't there a way to shim the whole valve down to get the same effect?

You can buy a bypass hose from the dealer and eliminate the valve altogether. I know a few guys have done rather than replaceing a bad valve. $30 vs $300.
