Just took a load of bees to Florida 910 milesone way. Gross Wt. was 26,620. load before that was aprox 31,000 lbs. No problem stopping. We use vacuum over hydrolic on dual tandem trailer. Can stop as quick loaded as empty. These brakes work much better than electric. Will ad exhaust brake but really dont need one with the way the trailer brakes work....just in case something goes wrong the exhaust brake will be handy. With the upgrade on the 98 12v I just have to watch the egt. Rick

I've put on about 120K miles towing between 20-25,000 Lbs. gross combined over the past 2 1/2 years on 2 trucks('02 2500 and now '04 2500), never a problem. Adjust driving habits to weight. All hauls are 2500+ miles round trip, pretty flat terrain(MI,WI,MN,MO,IA,ND,SD,IN).
Current truck has 55K miles on in 7 months.
