Towing with edge juice

How are you guys who tow heavy doing with the edge juice? I see post with towed loads of 5,000 pounds or less but I want to know how it does with egt's on loads in the heavier range. I tow minium 10,000 pounds. My truck is an 03 HO so I know that the 04.5 and up run a little hotter. What HP setting is usable while towing heavy loads?

edge tow

I have a 2003 with the original EZ Edge and 4 settings. I think the book says to use setting one for towing but I called Edge and was told to use any setting and just watch temps. I tow 13,200lbs and have towed several times but over the pass yet. I have seen temps in the 600's (post turbo) and boost up to 30lbs. Ato trans temps are fine. For somer reason I was thinking that setting one was the thing to do but I am not sure now. It sounds like if we use higher setting we just have to back off as needed.

The temps with the edge juice should be cooler than what you see with your edge EZ since the juice doesn't use any pressure. The timing helps keep the temps down. I guess no one has any info on towing heavy with the edge juice.

Like you I have an 03 so no Juice available. But I do have the Edge EZ and have towed 22,000# (that trailer weight, not GCVW) a few times and I alway leave is on level 4. EGT temps have never been a problem in 6th gear at WOT up hills. Only time they get over the 1250 mark is in 5th gear at about 2800 rpms while doing a full power up through the gears to get up to speed. I would think the Juice would be as good or better at the same power level.
