i will haul all personal race items in a 38ft gooseneck and want to know if a cdl is required in kansas? this one guy said a trooper told him there was a length limit but i cant find the info anywhere about that. i found weight requirements but i will certainly be well under 26k even when loaded. anyone know?

Just stop at a scale and ask them. They will know.

I work for Bennett Truck Transport . We deliver all size travel trailers nationwide . We don't require CDL's as long as we stay under 26.000 lbs. If you are commercial over 10,000 lbs. though you must keep a log book and have a DOT physical card . Be sure to cross scales , have your truck tag for appropriate weight , and watch your axle weight . We had a driver found over axle wight on a new fifth wheel trailer being delivered to a dealer . The manufacturer paid the fine .
