sway bar benefit for bumper pulls?

I have a 24 ft tandem axle TT. The weight is 6000#. I pull in nM and colorado mountains. I currently have a 93 w250 that seems to control unit fine without sway bar. I will be picking up 02 2500 diesel on monday. I understand they dont make the suspension as strong as first gens. Is it worth buying sway bar and I think they call it balancer. I dont want to waste money. However if enough think it good I may. Thanks for any input.
