It is pretty slick and I could see where it would be handy in certain situations. But really with most trailers equipped with axles and tires which are less than or barely handling the trailers GVWR, how could anyone afford having this heavy piece of machinery hanging under there for those "just incase moments". Plus I'm sure its not cheap.

I agree, the price of the unit and install would add some bucks to the trailer. I thought it was worth a share on here..

I lost the visual of the trailer swinging out. Have to watch it again.

Vintage version....

Kinda cool, however I like to park where this wont happen. If it does happen I wont need a side shifter as much as 3 vehicles will need flatbeds.

I could use this to get my camper into the back yard. Hmmmmm...

Well apparently they did not fare too well in the business world because the web site is dead and the domain is available. I saw one posting that they though it was $8000. YIKES!
Looks like I'll need 4 Harbor Freight wheel dolly jacks and a come-along if I ever want to move my camper side ways.

I think it would be fairly easy to fab one those. Just need a powerful 12v heavy duty electric motor and electric jacks to raise/lower then move side to side. Neat concept except for the price.

IIRC, MSRP was something like $8500 for the complete Sideshifter system.

As well, I believe the company went under a couple of years ago.
