Lightbulb Short Bed Owners

I have a manual slider hitch that is a nuisance to operate.
Saw a advertisement in Trailer Life on the" 5th Airborne, Sidewinder."
Went to www.fifthairborne.com & this hitch looks like a pretty good deal.
The MSRP for the sidewinder + the air ride coupler is $1495.00.
Less than the superglide plus air ride and easy installation. It will be a week or two before its on the market. If anyone knows anything good or bad about
this hitch please let me know. Dick

Not even a close second to the Superglide.

A few guys have one on order, but I don't believe anyone has one yet. I'm definitely considering one myself.

Now you can pull your RV trailer with a gooseneck ball.

Fits standard king-pin box.

Fitted with a spring loaded 2-5/16" coupler.

Coupler latches and unlatches remotely.

Precision coupler casting extends life of ball.

9" offset for more trailer swing, added maneuverability.

4" height adjustment in 1" increments.

Powder coated finish.

Easy bolt-on installation.

24,000 lbs. Gross Trailer Weight.

6,000 lbs. Gross Tongue Weight.

100% complete.

Height from ball to king pin is 12.5" extended to 16.5"

I know this is not your standard type fifth wheel hitch you guys are talking about but has anyone had any dealings with one of these.$587.00 with free shipping to lower 48 states. Just researching some alternatives.

I've heard reports of cracked pin boxes due to the longer moment arm. I've also heard of RV/chassis manufactures voiding warranties because of them also. I won't use one.

I know nothing of them but have seen in my neck of the woods some 5th wheels parked at peoples houses with the gooseneck attachment, not nessacary this brand, but something similar. I've had four bumper pull TT myself, never owned a 5th wheel trailer.
