For The RV'ers

My insurance is about due and I have been with Progressive with Good Sam for emergency roadside services. But,The Family Motor Coach Assn.(FMCA) is begining to look like a better deal. So,what say you,the good and bad or,superior merits of each?

Good Sam Emergency Road Service has been great for me. Broke down in Faro Yukon Territory and they got me hooked up with a wrecker in about one hour and towed 250 miles to nearest Dodge dealer in Whitehorse and never even blinked at the $750 tow bill.

Try Coachnet. They've been very good for me. In addition, they also have techs on duty that can talk you through rv repairs.

Well folks,I really do thank you for all your replies. The long and the short of it is...AAA for rv stuff is not available in all of the continental US so,Good Sam will tow the rv but...not if there is a trailor attached so, that leaves Coachnet.I will join The FMCA and obtain Coachnet Platinum service. Now if I could only find a "fixit-ticket"service

Having the extra insurance will practically guarantee never having to use it.

I had mine right through State Farm with our auto and home owners.

It was curiously cheap ($280.00 a year for full replacement of around $32K).

We joined AAA about 8 years ago. As of this year we have never had a year that the service did not pay for its self.
This includes things like having both front tires cut by someone while I was hunting. To having a flat tire changed while I was in a meeting. And my wife feels better when I am not home knowing that she will not need to change her own tire or worry if she breaks down. And yes it has happened before.

We have never had a question when needing service, just standard questions of are you in a safe area and are you loaded. Then call back as soon as they know when serviceman will be there.
I do recommend that you get the premium membership.
