RV storage key #
Hi to all,
Nothing to special here, I was just curios to how many of us who own RV's had the #751 keys or locks on the exterior storage compartments. I have always changed mine out but the last two trailers I have purchased came with the same 751 keying. Just curios if it's a brand specific thing, fluck or if it's more across the board?

Not sure...But....
I have had several truck caps that were CH751, a couple of boats that were the same and my RV is also. My folks old RV was CH751, not sure about the new one. My equipment cabinets in my server room are even CH751.
Seems to be a VERY common key/lock set.

Well sounds like it's more popular than I thought. Enough to keep the honest people honest but them other jerks are the ones we have to watch for.
Thanks for the info,

I think nearly all the outdoor storage keys are the 751, and its pretty common knowledge in the RV'ing community. It does come in handy if you ever lose your keys while in a campground...

I haul new Rv Campers all the time from the USA back to canada,,, and 99% of them use that key number, to me its not right, as anyone that owns a camper can get into your outside compartments

My campers and trailers for the past several years have had the 751 key. I don't worry too much about it though. I just keep one of these in there all the time.

I put a round keyed lock on the thumb side lock on all my storage doors. That means if I take it in to have it worked on and I think they may need to get into a storage, I unlock my lock and just leave the 751 locked - - everyone has a 751 key.

I'll bet if you check, all 3rd gen Dodge trucks use the same key blank too. Does that mean we can all open each others doors? I'm sure there are a few different cuts.
Besides, the lock on my outside doors just slide behind the thin aluminum strip on the edge of the opening. All you would need is a screwdriver or something else to pry a little and you'd be in.
