RV LED Dome Lights

After reading about LED replacement dome lights and where we dry camp (no electric hook-ups) almost every weekend, I went and ordered two 1156-PCB-W24 White LED Lamp $ 12.95 (each plus S&H). Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with these bulbs?

Not with those specific ones, but they'll certainly use a heck of a lot less power, and they'll last much, much longer than normal bulbs.

I bet you'll be very happy with them.

I'll be interested in hearing how they work out for you! How much light they produce compared to regular bulb?

This is where I bought the lights; http://www.superbrightleds.com/led_prods.htm

I only wanted to replace the incandescent bulbs with something that draws less amperage where we do a lot of dry camping.

I have replaced just about all of my Avion TT lighting with led's like those Al. So far, I am more than satisfied with their performance. They do an excellent job. I have also replaced my tail lights with the same type of plug in to LED assembly, they do an awesome job too. I have also installed the 12V flourescents where I have needed brighter, and broader area light coverage.

All DO serve to conserve on power use for dry camping tremendously. I also have a couple 80w solar panels, they are roof mounted, just the perfect setup with the LED's and solar charging, maintains the system well for even winter dry camping with the furnace running. You can install a variable resistor in your roof vent power and even cut down that power draw on the vents for better power conservation as well. I picked mine up at Radio Shack, pop riveted a little bracket to mount the resistor/control **** right up at the vents on/off controls.

I am currently changing all of my clearance lighting and compartment lighting to LEDs, using the Maxxima 4" clearance lights. Maxxima makes some good LED lighting for 110v's as well. They offer several really nice replacement fixtures.

When I get done converting all the lighting in my Avion TT, then I'm doing the same in my Custom Fab 32' GN with LQ. It does get a little expensive doing everything, but for dry camping it's the only way to go. The solar system is so easy to put together too. I also have considered using a small wind generator with the setup I have now. They add a nice touch to the whole dry camping scenario as they charge everything all night in a gentle breeze.
