Reese Ratings????
Reese Ratings????
Looking for a fifth wheel hitch on one of them is the Reese Signature Series 18K slider. For this they also have a gooseneck ball rated at 30k, question I have is how can they have a 30k ball when the instruction for the rail kit say that the rails are only rated for 18k?
I was going to ask Reese this directly but they don't seem proud enough to put a phone number on their site.
Along with this how about the Superglide 18k that they rails are only rated for 16k, expain that one to me????
Thought maybe some one might have looked into this before and found some answers.

Check some of the RV forums, rv.net etc. Search on the Superglide. You will be hard pressed to find anyone that is unhappy with theirs. I had the Reese and traded it in on Superglide. Night and Day difference in how it tows. No messing with the slide and no rails left in the bed after you remove it..
The thing that concerns me most is that I have a 40' gooseneck trailer that weighs around 24,000# when loaded. The Superglide Gooseneck is only rated at 18K and the rails like I said at 16K.
They have a 25K gooseneck adapter and 24K rails. http://www.pullrite.com/superglide_gooseneck.htm
. I see it now. May call them and see what they have to say. You would think that if they have a 24K superglide they would have a corresponding 24K GN adaptor. None the less, good luck.
The 24K Superglide has a different mount system then the 18k. No rails on the 24K, I am guess that is the reason? You would still think they would offer one. But having to go to the 24K would be a pretty big jump in price.
