Receiver Height '04 3500 QC SRW?

Please help.

I have an '04 3500 quadcab SRW on order but want to buy the drawbar for the hitch in advance. If I knew how far it was from the ground to the top of the receiver tube on the hitch I could buy that drawbar now.

Anyone know how far it is from the ground to the top of the receiver tube on an '04 3500 quadcab SRW?

Thanks!

Is it a 4x4? If so, I can measure my 2500 4x4 when I get home to get you close.

My 04 3500 SRW squats a lot more than my 2500 2000 did. this may affect the "loaded height".

Don't waste your time tring to buy the drawbar until you get the truck. The reason is that depending on the load you are carrying you may need more than one drawbar. If you only tow one thing and never change the weight of it and how the weight is distributed then you will be ok with just one draw bar. If yo are towing a TT then you will need a weight distribution hitch setup and you need the trailer attached and loaded the way you plan on traveling with it to help set the hitsh correctly.
Mine is a 4X4 and drops out 4" when pulling the TT I had so I had to have the hitch set at about a neutral so that when hooked up the TT was level and the rear of the truck set correctly.

Those are good points. I'll probably wait to get the truck and see how much it sags with my trailer attached before buying the correct draw bar. I have an enclosed utility trailer with a fairly consistent load so I'd better just wait until the truck arrives (it's scheduled to ship on 12 Jan....I'm just about splitting with anxiety).

From what I've been reading on this site, it's probably a good idea that I drive the truck for about 500 miles under light load to break in the differential anyway.

Thanks for the help!
