Pullrite SuperGlide 5er Hitch Owners
We pick up our new 5th wheel Firday afternoon
The dealer agreed to throw in a Husky 16K slider.
The parts dept guy told me all about the Pullrite SuperGlide
and showed me his on his F250PSD shortbox...
Beside caming out automatically without the need of getting out
and manually sliding the hitch back...what are the other advatages
of the SuperGlide? smoother operation?..queiter?
I'm leaning towards this set-up for an additional $1400 out of
pocket expense...and though I love the Superglide are there other reason this hitch set-up is better?
I think he told me its weights 400lbs and that he leaves his mounted
on his king pin...pulls out the pins in the bed and raised his
5ther up and pulls the truck away with the SuperGlide still attached
to the 5ther...Is this a good idea ?
Is this ok for storage over the winter?...Sure beats taking it apart in peices and remove it from the driveway

Re:Pullrite SuperGlide 5er Hitch Owners
I wish I could help you with your quest, but I'll be picking up my 5ver tomorrow with my new Superglide.
All I can say is that all the info I have read and the info that SuperGlide sent me is very impressive. All othe people that I have talked to that have them swear by them.
Good luck and happy motoring ;D

Re:Pullrite SuperGlide 5er Hitch Owners
I've thought about leaving my pullrite attached to the kingpin also, but never knew if it would work. I believe the unit weighs in at around 340 lbs. I've removed mine twice by first removing the plate assembly (the easy part), and then the remainder of the hitch (the hard part). Getting it out is not too bad, but I usually enlist someone else's help to lift it back in. It's one big hunk of metal!!!
Love the hitch itself. I never have to worry about hitting the cab! It works smoothly and is quiet. I just figured it was good preemptive insurance - pay now so I don't have to pay later for damage to my truck > or trailer .
The other advantage for me is I was able to install a rolltop cover with it. The other hitches, including the slider units, protruded above the top of the bed, so I wouldn't have been able to have my rolltop. Also, another advantage when removed, I don't have any rails left on the bed floor.
