You shouldn't have any problem at all with that trailer. I advise a WD hitch, or if you are nervous, a Hensley as suggested.

You should not experience any trouble at all.

I CAN FEEL YOUR PAIN

I just upgraded 3 weeks ago from 26' 4800# to 34' 8800# and can tell you that it did sway. I tried using the friction sway control and could still feel the pain. I went with the Equil-i-zer 4 point sway system and it is alot better. The Henesy & Pullrite hitchs are about $2800.00 the Equalizer is about $500 and I think does as good a job. You will need some type of weight distribution and sway controler.

With all this response I feel like I should give you some more information. Here's my numbers, GVWR 8800lbs....Max. payload 2830lbs....GCWR...16000lbs...Max. trailer tow rating 9900lbs. These numbers are right out of the Dodge book. I had the truck weighed about a year ago and I want to say somewhere between 4500lbs. and 4700lbs. (not sure). I wrote it down somewhere, I'm going to have it weighed again. Using these numbers I think I'm okay. Unloaded truck wt. + hitch wt. + trailer wt. + about 1500lbs. for truck and trailer cargo puts me right at about the 16000lb. max GCWR. I drive the big red trucks with the ladders and the lights for a living so saftey is always a concern. Thanks again.
Your numbers are way light........ my bone stock '01.5 2500 SB weighs in at 4080 on the front axle and 2600 on the rear axle for a grand total of 6680 empty. That weight includes me (about 2 bills) and 13 gallons of fuel.
