prodigy brake controller help!
Im installing a prodigy brake controller and am on the final step, connecting the red wire from controller to my trucks brake pedal switch, but the switch has five wires to it, so......which wire do i splice into?2001 2500

Sorry don't know the colors.
Two wires are for the cruise and auto tranny, the other two to the brake lights. Not sure on the fifth wire, a ground perhaps? You want the outgoing wire for the lights. Not sure on a 2001 but think it's a negative path.

On my 2001 there was a connector under the dash for all 4 wires. When I ordered my Prodigy I asked for the pigtail for my truck. This let me plug the Prodigy directly into the wiring harness. However if you didn't get it you can order one from the dealer($30CDN) or just use some falt blade connectors to plug into the receptacle under the dash. My receptacle was on the left side. You shouldn't need to splice into the factory harness if its an '01

I'm guessing his didn't come with a tow package or he'd have the connector we have, located above the E brake. If he has a factory hitch I bet he has the connector.

Yep mine was the same as yours cLAYH. Easy hookup, and I screwed the mounting bracket into the ashtray door.
