Need some opinions on insurance.

Right now, I have ag plates (truck is used mostly for farm purposes) and am on my father's insurance policy, which is non-commercial. I pay about 1200/year. I have had several opportunities to haul lower dollar stuff for hire-things like hay, sawdust bags, lumber, construction equipment, antique trucks, etc. I am 23 years old, and have a clean license with no claims ever made on my insurance. I have multiple quotes for making my own policy, to haul within 500 miles, and it is around 3400/year. What are some good guidelines for this type of insurance-how much should I be insured for, deductible, what types of insurance should I have, etc? Just looking for some tips from others that have experience with this. Thanks a lot
