Need options for bike rack for 5ver

Hey everyone. I need some options for hauling two mountain bikes and a small kids bike. Have a 30 ft 5ver and currently haul them inside the trailer. Need some options. I saw some 5ver's on my last camping trip with the bike rack on the front. I think it was attached to the kingpin. I couldn't get close enough to see the set up. Not sure if this would work with a SB. Any suggestions or comments from anyone. Thanks.

Re:Need options for bike rack for 5ver

I was thinking of a front (truck) mounted receiver for my bike rack?

Saw a rig last week in the State Park with a roof rack on the top of the pickup. Pretty cool. It got them out of everyone's way but was no higher than the fiver. I have room in my storage area for our bikes, but I would definitely consider that method if I did not have the room underneath.

Re:Need options for bike rack for 5ver

5ver Bob I thought about the roof rack. I am not to excited about the rear bumber/hitch mount on the camper. I have this feeling that they will fall off or be draging behind the camper and I won't know it . Anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a roof rack for a 2001 Dodge?

Re:Need options for bike rack for 5ver

I have some of the Yakima products listed above (Tower, clips and cross bars). I do not use them to carry bikes however. I carry a canoe up there with them. I have been very happy the product (used since '99). I use the same equipment on my 02 as I did my 97 (did not have to buy any new components). The towers come with thick protective plastic pieces that go under them to prevent damage to the surface of the roof. Everything stays in place very securely, if installed properly. I have managed speeds of 90 mph (while passing of course) with a canoe on top and nothing moved. I like the product, about the only negative is the cost, I have spent more for my rack then my canoe. (I also just bought their "Drydock" and gotten rid of my homemade rear rack, have not used it yet though. Another $150 :'(, if anybody is interested in knowing about that, let me know).
Another company to check into Thule.
