manual boost controller

Installed homemade manual boost controller. Started off open and adjusted all the way down. This thing is not sensitive. I had to crank it all the way down and then 1/2 turn out to get 25 psi. With it completely closed I only get 30 psi. Now this is flat ground completely unloaded so I know with a load it will be another story. What kind of boost can I expect with say a 10k trailer? I dont want to go past 30 psi with the trailer for my turbos safety. This is with my #100 plate in the stock position and the AFC housing full forward. As long as I dont beat it to death I know I wont exceed the tubos limits. My EGT's are down about 100 degrees at 30 psi compared to my usual 20 psi with full wastegate operation.
