OK place for a manual boost controller?

the PO had cut and plugged the waste gate as seen in the picture below. Would this be a good place to install a manual boost controller?

Looks like same place as mine (see gallery)...right at the turbo? Can't tell from Pic. It's just a flow control valve to the wastegate so anywhere in line should work.

Just make sure you put it in right-- they are not reversible!

rjohnson, mine was cut right before going into an elbow on the AFC housing (in the first pic that is the air intake horn on the left and AFC housing on the lower left), but from the other posts I'm gathering that anywhere on the line is ok.
