Hello all, My uncle has a new tow vehicle, 2005 2500 4wd quad short with cummins. He pulls a 92 cardinal 5th wheel. The cardinal is very low, the truck is very high, I noticed 2 spacer blocks under the springs on the rear suspension , This inch or so would really help. Problem is how do I find coil springs for the front to keep the ride level? Can't raise the trailer as it has torsion suspension, no room for bigger tires. Have the hitch adjusted as close as possible to the bed of the truck. Who has lowering kits for 3/4 ton trucks? Thank you in advance for your responce, I'm worried about the rear axle on the trailer pulling it "up hill " Scott

 

im pretty sure if you remove those spacers in the back, it makes the truck sit level...
hmmm although when u drop the trailer on the truck it may look kinda funky...

I haven't looked under a 2005, are you saying there is a 1 inch lift block? If so, removing it will make quite a difference with the trailer, and still not be too noticeable to the eye. Give it a try, probably be real easy on a new truck with no rust or mud buildup.

 

I have the same truck you described.
I took those blocks out from the bottom of the spring pack and moved them to the top. That way, you don't need to get shorter bolts, and all the parts are still there if you ever want to raise it back up. It does make it set level. I put TIMBRENS on so it won't sag under heave load.

 

Does this mess with the driveshaft length??

 

You can alter ride height several inches without affecting driveshaft length, and one inch won't affect the angle.

 

Is there any way to lower the front?
