Looking for Heavy Duty Grill Guard for 03 Dodge

We have a new 03 Dodge and need a really heavy duty grill guard for it. I have done the internet thing and only come up with light duty guards. We live in deer country and need something that will save the front end and keep us up and running when we have the unfortunate event of hitting a deer.

I have already tried to contact Diamond D in Coleman, Texas and they are in foreclosure. They made the best grill guard but are not currently available.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I take it you're not interested in doing a bumper/grill guard combo?

You might try www.ranchhand.com. They have some good guards and bumpers. I have the full replacement front bumper/guard on my 2000 1/2 ton Dodge. It is heavy (245 lbs) and strong, but you definitely don't have to worry about deer (as long as they don't go over the hood into the windshield).

Has anyone seen or have a RanchHand bumper on a 3rd generation Dodge? I haven't seen one yet and was just curious how they look.

TXBobcat, how much did it cost you? I was thinking about becoming a ranchand dealer but you gotta buy quite a bit of stuff and their stuff is too high priced to sell to my jewish farmer customers

Luke,

I know what you mean, they are pretty high. I made a trade with my mother-in-law for mine. I traded her my stock front bumper and $300 for the full replacement bumper. She wanted to trade because she said it was too heavy and bulky.

I think the full replacement bumper/grill guards run $800 - $1000 and the grill guards run $300 - $500 depending on where you get them.

Have you seen any Ranch Hands on the 03's?

Re:Looking for Heavy Duty Grill Guard for 03 Dodge

We used to be a ranchhand dealer until a couple of years ago. The company was sold, and the new owners changed some things, such as going to powder coating, and a honey-comb like insert instead of expanded metal. Their price for most things almost doubled too. There are alot of other companies making similar products for alot less. They have excellent products, I don't know if the price is worth it. They have a bumper and grill guard for the new body style 1/2 tons, but I don't know if the frames are similiar between the 1/2 tons and heavy duty trucks.
