Heavy duty push bar/bull bar/grille guard

I'm looking for some heavy duty front end protection for my 04 3500 Ram. I'm not looking for something that will just look pretty, I want something that will take a hit and keep on rolling. I'm thinking something black because if it gets scraped or scratched I can always just paint it with some black rust-oleum. I'd also like to keep the price range below $400 if possible. Any ideas?

You'll have to build your own, or find one in a salvage yard for that price. Bodygaurd bumpers are the most reasonably priced heavy duty bumpers, and they're 900 - 1300 depending on options. Other brands go up to $2500+ for a front.

You might try going to a RH dealer and buy a "scratch and dent" model, if they have one. I saved a ton on mine, a few years back. Mine is a RH legend.

I had a Gage bumper on my truck a while ago. I loved it. If you want heavy duty stay away from grill guards, bull bars, and the like. You'd need a full replacement. I paid $750 or so for mine.

Looks like a heavy duty replacement bumper is what I really want. I'm checking out the Ranch Hands and they look real nice. I love the Fab Fours, but out of my price range. The Road Armors also look really nice, but again out of my price range. Not a whole lot of money to be throwing around on the truck these days, so i have to really save where I can.

13MWZ: Do you know the web page for GAGE bumpers? I've searched on google and cant find them.

Not to take away from anyone's preference, I like my front and rear ranchhand replacements bumpers regardless of prices.

road armor = 2
deer = 0

they arn't the cheapest, and probably not the strongest, but i think they are still the best looking and can take some hits. the lonestar gaurd provides some major full frontal protection!
