Loading a bumper pull

Ok So we're getting ready to pack up the house into our 33' Cargo trailer. I got it weighed empty and it has about 1300lbs tongue weight empty. The trailer has 3 3500lbs axles. going but the the 10% rule I could basically load the trailer to max weight without increasing the tongue weight and be cool. Right? I usually load the truck till it touches the helper springs and ever time it pulls great for a bumper pull. Any suggestions on weighing it? So how does that bathroom scale trick work. With this much weight would I need a 15 to 20' pole? I read how to do this but for some reason I'm not understanding it. I think the heavy stuff I'll try to load over the axles, and fill in the rest of the trailer.

You'll have to put some weight at the front so you don't get too much sway but most of the heavy stuff can be put over the axles. Do you think you will fill it up or will you be "Floating" most of it?

Well on the move from Az to OR I filled up about 1/4 of it and a car in the back section. Sooo with no cars this time I think I can spread out a lot of the load, only thing that eats up floor space is furniture and my garage tools/toys, and our Buell. What you mean by floating it is not packed full right? so I should be able to shuffle things around. After looking at our stuff, it wont be fully loaded.

Yes. "Floating means that you are not stacking it to the ceiling and you gradually work your way down to where you are not stacking anything. Tie the load off and hual it away... I do a lot of this on the side with my trailer.
Good luck with the move....
