Legal sleeper berth for quadcab
I guess you haven't been in too many truckstops
. An England driver backed into the right front fender while I was in eating then moved to another spot . Luckily I came out as he was pulling away from my truck . The cops came and he denied hitting it even though there were paint chips next to his left trailer taillight . His insurance paid for repair and downtime with no problem .

Even been hit by a few of those travel trailer haulers!!
This has been discussed many times . Some officers will put you out of service if you don't have motel receipts . They have no right to do it and somebody should fight it with an attorney . There is nothing in the FMCSA regulations specifying how off duty time must be spent . It does not say you have to rest , just be relieved of duty .
I have been running for almost 5 years and have never had a problem logging off duty. Best thing to do is try and park on private property (Walmart, truck stops and so on). I have heard of a few guys getting hassled parked in rest areas.
