Question MegaCab -- QuadCab replacement???

Does anyone know if the megacab is replacing the quad cab, or just another model/option? I really hope that they continue the QC, because I don't want a longer truck. I have had six footer's in the back without any complaints.

2nd that

I only have my dog for this area and wouldn't want to fool with the extra length and I sure don't want a short bed. I do have to load and haul with the bed sometimes and the short bed just don't have the room.

I think one large market for a MegaCab 3500 dually could be the RVing community. We need the large cab to haul folks to dinner, etc. when we're RVing with our RV groups, but we need a long bed to tow a 5th wheel without cab interference (no slider hitches for me!).

Assuming the curb weight of a mega cab long box would be higher, to keep the tow rating up they may as well make the long box mega cab a Ram 5500 with 35,000+ GCWR... and my current truck would be for sale.

Yep, that grabs my attention. Maybe the 6.7L Cummins to handle the extra weight. And a 7 or 8 speed transmission for relaxed cruising when running empty. And... And...
