Okay last night I looked at a 1998 auto 12V 4x4 shortbox has 157000 km about 90000 miles needs body work scratches big dent in the box, back bumper, drivers seat (400lbs man seating there) seals for power steering pump, timing cover, front rotors... okay engine has never been touched runs awesome ,no rust, back seat and tail gate never used wanted 19000.00 got him down to 17500.00 canadian 15,090.76 US good price or what?

 

17 500 is about on par for a "regular" truck , that is a good deal (in my area) for a 98 12v , There is one around here that needs paint , body work , engine tranny and t case leak oil , needs brakes, and a few other things that arn't exactly cheap IMO , it has over 300 000 kms on it , and the asking price is 22 995.

All the things i listed above were things i noticed just walking around , i have not heard it run , let alone driven it...

So take this FWIW , i'd say that's a fair deal.

There was a white SB QC 4x4 auto with 275k here in Maple Ridge for sale that was at $17000 and it too needed $$$$ spent on it
They are a tough find in this area as you know.
Theres a place in Abby called Ugly Trucks thats had a few 12v lately
Go see Mike at Langley Broco auto glass for the seat fix, he just did mine at half the cost of 2 other estimates. Good luck
