gerry, where in washington do you visit? If in my area, you can have it delivered here, and come on over. western washington, 20 miles north of bremerton, 2 miles from kingston.

Northern Tools carries the RDS line. Great price on a good quality product. I have their 50 gallon with tool box low profile for the fiver installation.

Man, I really like those Aerotanks, but their price is pretty high compared to the Northern Tool (RDS) ones. The thing I like better about the Aerotanks is that the filler cap is concealed under the tool box lid.

Gerry,

I installed the tank myself before RDS came out with their new installation kit. Mine is gravity fed and works like a charm. That new install kit is so easy to use. Do have a friend up in those states? Have it shipped to them. Total price including all fittings was less than $600.

Hayhauler, when you say "under the lid", do you mean you have to open the lid to get to the filler cap. My cap is under an overhang of the tool box. I have a pic in my album which shows it.

Fiver, the tank in the post above has the cover over the filler tube. I am thinking about getting the one you have from Northern Tool, that has the filler neck in a cut out in the corner of the box. I would really like to lock the lid to the toolbox, like the one above, so that noone can siphon out that liquid gold in the tank. Have you had any problems with that yet?

I'm not sure I trust that tank at the moment. It looks like its constructed from 1/8th aluminum. There's manufacturers up here that refuse to build anyone a tank less than 3/16ths. It's been noted that the thinnner constructed tanks tend to crack readily with rough travel (gravel roads, lease roads, logging roads).

On a side note, does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes the combo tanks (fuel & tool) that aren't low profile ? IE, the sides of the toolbox sit on the bed sides ?

I don't like the extremely small toolbox volume in ANY of the combo's I've seen. They all say the low profile is for 5vr trailer clearance. Well, I don't and most likely never will have one, so I'd rather have the extra storage space.

Any ideas aside from a custom tank ?
