A boost elbow on an overfueled truck will net a solid 50HP. The HX35 at 21-22 psi boost is no where near as much as 32-35psi.

Ok, I will be trying one soon I hope one way or another.
Does it ever end though?.. Boost elbow now; then, "hmm, I still wonder if that 3rd gen turbo would do better", then "hmm, maybe I could put in a CAI to help that 3rd gen turbo"...
Fortunately these are not as expensive as injectors, so the worst is behind me.

Blue, what did you mean by the last part?

Thanks, Mike

I ran the same pass a couple weeks back for hunting. It was my first trip with the Smarty JR. loaded. Pulled fine. . . .because the speed limit is so slow that pass never works the truck very hard. I tow a 26ft toy hauler so I might have been 7.5/8k max. Yepo the back side is a bit steeper. The fun part was coming home just after some snow it was a bit icy.

Happy Friday!

Hey Paul, any updates to share on the boost elbow / wastegate blocking? I'm really curious to see if you experienced favorable results.

Mike

Hey Mike, No I have not even driven the truck since then. My job has this bad tendency of getting in the way of having fun but I need the job to pay for the tires I just bought (Ouch!)

Hey Paul, happy New year - albeit a bit late . Any update on your boost elbow and how you like your set up so far? As for me, I'm still trying to decide between 1.0s and 1.6s.

Take care, Mike
