Hayes brake controler

Does anyone here run the Hayes G2 brake control? Do you like it? Why and why not please..
The last brake controler I had was the Draw-tite 5500 right after they came out and before that it was the OLD Kelsay-Hayes unit that tied into the trucks brake line.

All the electronic controllers do a "precharge" when the brake light goes on. In glare ice conditions, that can be enough to lock up the trailer brakes. For that reason I use the old hydraulic Kelsey/Hayes controller and have it mounted where I can easily (without leaning forward) operate it manually.

My son had an electronic controller and pitched a loaded tool trailer into oncoming traffic in Montana. What a mess that was.

I wonder if I can still find the one that was adjustable with the little handle instead of the little wheel. I may just go back to the old hydraulic setup.
