Getting a load

Are there any sites that have loads to pull. Just looking for a small trip with no real destination in mind.
I know about Yesterdays Tractor but that’s the only one I know of.
I don’t want to do this full time but would like to haul some to pay for my fuel and expenses.

Disclaimer: I’m sorry to you full time hot shot drivers out there I ‘m not trying to take your jobs, I’m looking for the ones that can’t/ will not pay full price.

Mods if this even starts to turn into a free for all get the locks out. Thanks

What I’m looking for is the farmer that bought a tractor and needs it moved, or the collector that bought a rusty old truck to restore and would be willing to pay fuel and motel + a small amount to save some money.
Not the commercial cheapskate that is looking to increase the bottom-line at the expense of the trucker.

i thought you had to have BIG insurance to do this?? im sure your 'farmer' or 'collector' wont check and see if you do, but if you wreck, you'll be out for the truck, trailer, load, and what/who ever else you damage and/or kill. i can see doing this for close family, but not for just anybody

Guys, if you can't help the man with his question, don't post.

I second the U-ship.com Dont think you will make much money. Some drivers are doing it for less than a dollar a mile and paying a fee to u ship.

Bigfoot, I've looked into this as well - basically, if you take the cheap loads the hotshotters or OTRs won't (cause they usually CAN'T afford to) pickup, you're gonna be LOSING money on fuel and expenses... if your time is worth nothing, then you might be able to break even - but I wouldn't bank on it.

IF you're already going somewhere empty/light, then picking up a load can ease the pain at the pump...

If your looking to just go "somewhere", pick a destination and let the people here (or other boards) know when you plan on leaving and see if anybody needs something picked up or moved. Just give a 2 week or so notice for people to get things lined up. I've seen this on another board I visit and it seems like every time someone does it they get good responces.
