My Generac 10K gen is in the shop right now. My fault, I think, but the technician told me that he had seen quite a few failures of Generacs that were built in '98 and '99. They were pumping them out for Y2K w/o watching quality. He said it has been mostly in the 5K to 10K range, he's had quite a few failures of the stator in around five hours. Run one tank of gas through mine. Made up an adapter cord, oops. :
