Friend is confused about GVW.
My buddy is confused about GVW.
In a conversation he mentioned that his truck(2WD F-250 Powerstroke Crew Short Bed) weighed 8900lbs. I told him that that was his GVW. He said yeah that is the weight of the truck. I told him that was the curb weight plus the payload. His truck is closer to 6400. I told him that my truck only weighed about 7400.
Anyway, since he is a casual friend I decided to let him go on it because he was very adament and I did not want to argue.
Do you guys have a nice link explaining curb weight, payload, GVW, GCW and towing capacity? I would be nice if it included the math so that he would take it from the link as opposed to me.
