Renting borrowing trailers?????

Im from South Jersey and Im looking to go to FL this winter for a week or so.. i would like to trailer my mustang down there. I have a trailer for it but the problem is there is a total of 3 that need to go down there...one needs to be dropped off in GA for a rebuild stroker motor, the other to FL to get registered...I would like to rent a 3 car trailer for a week or so ...anybody know or if this would be even possible....i would hate to shell out 4 grand to buy one

thanks

The only way I know that is possible is if you had a semi tractor to pull one. It is easy to rent dropdecks that can hold 3 cars, but a gooseneck 3/4 car wedge is difficult to find as a rental. If I remember right there was a thread about this early in the summer...

If you can find a good, used trailer that will fit your needs, buy it, use it & when you are done, clean it up & sell it. You may even make money on the deal plus get your business taken care of.

When I moved from Detroit to Phoenix, 30 years ago, I bought a Ford van & a Wells Cargo trailer. Moved all my stuff & used the trailer for storage til I found a place.

When I was done, I cleaned up both vehicles, even repainted the inside of the trailer so it looked brand new, & sold both vehicles. I actually made a couple of hundred bucks on the sales.

If you buy the trailer, you won't have to rush the trip to FL., worrying about the ever increasing rental expenses each day you are in possession of their trailer. Also, if you have to return the vehicles to NJ, you will have to rent a trailer, again. Rental trailers can get expensive.

they are called baker transport , they haul enclosed Pace trailers on a 3 car hauler

Register in Florida

Your car does not have to be in Florida to register it. They have a form you fill out and have notorized verifying the serial number. That, along with your title and insurance will buy you a tag and transfer title. But also be expected to pay $100 new wheels on Florida roads above the other fees. Maybe this will help you to have to haul only 2 cars.
