Wow. That's almost as good as the car hauler I saw the other day converted to a poorly built and scary looking gooseneck.

Looks like he did a nice job of what he was trying to do. Might just as well sold the trailer and buit himself the whole thing. He obviously has talent. He certainly added alot of weight to a nice little car trailer. That hitch looks like it would work on a 25k trailer.

Is it one down around Buda where they took and cut the tounge off of a bumper pull and built a gooseneck that's only about two feet wide at its widest point?

Not throwing rocks. It looks like the guy is a good fabricator and is creative, but I dont see the point of his creation.

Do whatever you want, but dont get onto me for expressing my opinion.

No, this one was in Odessa.

I agree with the general consensus. he's a great fabricator but I don't see the point.
If you want a gooseneck get one, I don't understand why modifying a bumper pull, savings, safety, warranties, legality, etc are not there.

Besides, if you consider what he has invested in welding equipment and part of the shop you will buy 3 new trailers.

I also agree, the welding and fab looks fine, but was it worth it? I have to suggest not. He could have much easily and cheaper just swapped up for a GN.

I guess next time I go through Lake Buchanan I'll have to get pics of a goose to bumper adapter.

That right there is what I was asking for - wasn't 'getting on you' - so you could have left off the -

I agree with that .... at least it wouldn't be for me but then there's another thread on that forum that shows his overhead gantry crane so for him I guess it's a piece of cake! I understand that the feller is an old guy, about my age , and is keeping busy doing what he does .... he's got a nice shop .... more power to him!
