etrailerpart bearings?
etrailerpart bearings?
I was repacking the wheel bearings in the 5er today, and got to thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to order some new bearings and replace them the next time they are due for lube.
I was looking at this, which would appear to be the right bearings for my 5200 lb al-ko axles w/6x5.5" wheels and 42 spindle (but I don't recognize their part numbers for the seals).

Anyway, this package is amazingly inexpensive for the bearings, seals, lugs, caps and everything for 2 brakes.
Inexpensive is good, but cheap isn't, so I was wondering if anyone has any input as to their quality.

I have looked at their bearing kits also and thought they were pretty inexpensive compared to buying the parts individually. I figured that I would give them a call or email them to verify that the parts were correct for the axles.
Yeah, the bearing part numbers are pretty much standard across brands, so any auto place could order them (15123 outer, 25580 inner, 10-36 seal- national 452920, or 42385 for single lip).
It's just this place's price, $19.95 for two inner and two outer bearings, races, seals, dust caps, washer, cotter pin, and lug nuts that has my attention...
It sounds like a super good deal, as long as they aren't junk that are likely to weld themselves to your spindle far, far from home...

The ones that are on my trailer now are stamped "China" and appear to be of good quality (they just are getting old, have quite a few miles).
I think I'll order a couple of sets, and give them a shot.
Thanks guys.
